One of the items on the Jan 2026 Committee Meeting was the lack of transparency regarding the POTY scoring system, last year was a little difficult to understand and was not readily available, so it was decided to have an overhaul and make all the info available on our website, so that all members would understand exactly what was happening, and each month a POTY league table would be produced....this will be carried out by Taff Mills and Richard Taylor

 

There have been a few changes to POTY for 2026, the main differences have been in the scoring system, and the fact that team events NO LONGER carry any points....only points scored by an individual plus points for nearest the pin ( NTP ) will count.

The system of the best 6 scoring events will remain in place...same as 2025.

The new points system is as follows:

1st....20pts

2nd...17pts

3rd....15pts

4th....14pts

5th....13pts

6th....12pts

7th....11pts

8th....10pts

9th......9pts

10th....8pts

11th....7pts

12th....6pts

13th....5pts

14th....4pts

15th....3pts

16th....2pts

After that, anyone who competes from 17th onwards will be awarded 1pt.   NTP's will be awarded an extra 2pts.
