And the winner is...Spurs John!

As usual...I have copied and pasted the Capt's Blog which is from Charlie. This time I have penned a small piece myself ( hope he doesn't mind ).

Congrats has to go to John Harrison with a great score of 37 pts....but Charlie has been a little "under recognised" for his achievement....he shot a 36 BUT he played off his Miraflores handicap of 21 rather than his Society handicap which is 26...a 5 shot difference. Well played to both of you....Taff.

Miraflores Golf Report 30.05.2026.

"Thank you to all who turned up on a very hot day. The conditions weren’t easy, although the course played well. Of the 20 players who took part, 9 managed to score 30 or more points, and nobody scored less than 20.

We had four guests playing which was good to see. They were James, Tony C and Cliff. James was our youngest player at 17 and Cliff, our eldest, at a sprightly 89. I hope that I’m still around and playing at that age. Cliff later joined the society, so we are looking forward to seeing much more of him in the future.

The guest prize was won by James, with an impressive 39 points off a handicap of 17, Well done James! We hope we see more of you in the future.

Second place team prize went to Taff, Phil, Cliff and Lobo with 86 points.

First place went to Adam, John H, Steve G and Katherine with 92 points.

In the individual prizes I finished second with 36 points. The winner was John H with 37 points.

On a safety note, one of our members was nearly hit by a stray golf ball. Fortunately no damage was done, please be careful.

Thanks to all who played and turned up for the presentation, I know some of you had an important football game to watch! Unlucky Arsenal, but at last you won the Premier league."
