Norway's finest! Here's Charlie's report for Santa Maria. Well! what a day out we had at Santa Maria! The course looked a picture, the greens were excellent, and the scoring was generally high. The undoubted stars of the show were the Ladies, who more or less won all the prizes on offer. All the nearest the pins were won by the Ladies. The conditions were tough as no maintenance had been carried out on the course for a week due to the adverse weather conditions. Well lovely people...this is it. My final report as Capt. What a day, as tough as I've ever seen Calanova play, so many back tee placements and flags in some horrible places ( I think the greenkeeper must have had an arguement with his wife! ). The weather was great, albeit rather windy, which only added to the difficulty of the competition, that said, the condition of the course was superb...definitely one for the longer hitters though.
