Well done yer wee jobbie!

Well, with Mr Captain enjoying a break in the UK, I get to do the blog in his absence ( this was the best part of being Capt ).

Santana was a day to remember! The course in unbelievable condition, weather as usual was superb and the golf...well, what can I say about the golf. Just 16 players ( inc 4 guests...thanks guys ) but 5 players scoring 41 pts, another 2 on 40 and the first and second team scores was 98 pts!!

At one stage, yours truly was just 4 over gross after 10 holes...I had visions of scoring my age but fell off the pace...I think it was all the pressure Katherine put me under.

As great as the golf was, there was another element...more important to my mind, and that was to see Pete Beirne back in the saddle, the guys been through a lot and it was special to have him back, one of the original members and a good friend. Same goes for Katherine and Tone...both fully recovered from their ops and hitting the ball miles...well done ladies.

Pride of place of course has to go to the one and only Ricky the Bricky! I think this may be his first win with the Society, but he's been knocking on the door recently and he was a very popular winner. Well done lovely boy, you've almost taken the lead in the POTY, now we'll all be chasing you! Especially as your handicap has dropped 3 shots hahaha.

Scotland did very well with Ricky winning and Rob coming 3rd ( same score )...pity about your football team though!

As usual we had a great time back at Bar97...so many stories to tell, our guests really enjoyed themselves and hopefully we will see them again. Thanks to everyone for making them welcome and a big shout to Stevie G who helped us out of a spot with his 3 friends making up the numbers...top guy.

One final thing...we welcome Ezio Dusi to the Society...look forward to doing battle on the course Ezio and enjoying you are your lovely wife's company in the bar.
