Santana Report

White rose of Yorkshire
White rose of Yorkshire

Hi everyone, here's Charlie's report for Santana. I would like to add my congratulations to Steve G. He was part of our team who walked the course! Lobo and Charlie with their electric trollies, myself with a push trolley ( Sonja did caddy for me! ) and Steve who actually carried, really enjoyable.

Copied and pasted from Charlie....What a great day out we had at Santana! The weather was perfect and the course was in it’s usual fantastic condition. It was a shame that we could only get four flights. Myself and Martin tried hard to get additional flights but unfortunately none were available.

The playing conditions were perfect, not too hot and a slight breeze, and I think the scores were reflected by these conditions. The winning score was a fabulous 41 points by Steve G, though he himself will admit to wondering how he himself accrued so many points. Steve hits a long ball but by his own admission tends to be wayward. However, Santana being the open course it is, allowed him to recover and score well. If you could only putt Steve who knows how many points you would have got! Congratulations Steve on your first win! And a big well done to all the players. There were no disastrous rounds and all the scores barring a few were in the 30’s.

On the bright side, we are playing Santana twice again this year in June and in November, where we have places for 24 players on both occasions.

Finally a big ‘thank you’ to everyone for turning up at the bar for the presentation and the food. Your attendance is greatly appreciated. Until the next time……

Your Capatin,

Charlie
